Dr. Mohamed Elshafey is an Egyptian-born veterinarian, educator, and international licensing mentor who has dedicated his career to helping veterinarians around the world realize their dream of practicing globally. With over 15 years of veterinary and academic experience spanning clinical medicine, teaching, and professional certification, Dr. Elshafey brings both deep expertise and personal understanding to every AVEC program.

From Local Practice to Global Perspective

After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Cairo University, Dr. Elshafey began his career in mixed-animal practice in Egypt, where he quickly developed a passion for clinical excellence and continuing education. However, his desire to expand his professional reach led him to pursue advanced veterinary credentials abroad.

His journey toward Canadian licensure was both challenging and transformative — filled with long study hours, complex exam systems, and the uncertainty that many international veterinarians face. That firsthand experience became the foundation of what would later grow into AVEC.
